and look at this golf cart. it got crushed. you see a little bit of that part on the right side. aho that tree. alamo. >> pam: new tonight at five. a livermore mother -- convicted of molesting children. is arrested again. police say, christine hubbs violated a condition of her parole -- not to possess or have access to pornography. in 20-11, hubbs pleaded no contest to having sex with two teen boys over a two year period. according to court documents, one of the victims was her own daughters underage boyfriend. >> catherine: a developing story police don't know the motive in today's rampage of car-jackings and shootings across orange county. three people were killed

before the gunman ended it all by shooting and killing himself. police say the man shot and killed a woman in a home first.then set off to shoot more people. he carjacked a couple of way. other cars on the freeway. when officers finally tracked him down -- they say the gunman got out of his car and killed himself. >> new developments in the case of christopher dorner - the former l-a-p-d officer who went on a 9-day shooting spree earlier this month - targeting law ennforcement we're just learning that a full review of dorner's firing is now under-way. dorner's also accused of *stalking several l-a-p-d officials in the weeks leading up to his attacks. los angeles police leaders are now opening up about the impact dorner's manifesto had on the reputation of the department. the 33-year old believes he far unwound misconduct while

>> we now know that the gunman in the school shooting in connecticut was reportedly obsessed with mass murders. reports say that adam lanza wanted to be like them -- and compete with them. he apparently wanted to 'out-do' anders breivik -- he's the norwegian man who killed 77 people in 20-11. the 20-year-old was also said to be obsessed with violent video games and was acting out a fantasy. police say lanza shot himself after killing his mother and 26 people -- including 20 children at sandy hook elementary. >> pam: the makers of anchor steam beer. announced plans to expand the operation. opening a second san francisco location right next to the giants ballpark. this is part of the larger

kron4's maureen kelly shows us the proposed changes to that part of the city. >> reporter: empty warehouse on pier 48 anchor steam's new brewery, distribution center and restaurant with tables outside and inthe old roll up metal doors being replaced with windows to allow people to see inand watch the beer being made. this part of the project is 2016.and there's more in the works. the mission rock develop,ent will be park.turning the pier from being mostly a massive parking lotinto a new neighborhood with 1500 apartment units, along with retail and office space. a new parking structure will be built for the cars that now crowd this lot on games days. there are also plans for a lot more green grass to replace the blacktop that exists now. and open space.the president and ceo of the san francisco new development has high

the name of the shooter in a valentine's day murder- suicide. investigators say, this man-- anh pham. shot his girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself in their east san jose home. >> bart has just announced, they will once again experiment with allowing bikes onboard, during peak commute hours. the current restriction will be temporarily lifted from march 18 through march 22. with lifting the restriction over the summer and say it was a success. bart officials are experimenting ways to improve riding for bikers. >> jacqueline: still some showers along the coast. as we take a look at the rainfall, the rainfall totals have been under one- half inch. all locations.

making it very clear that that he shot his girlfriend because he thought she was an intruder. model reeva steenkamp had been spending the night. pistorious claims he fired three shots through the locked bathroom door after hearing noises.thinking it was an intruder. he claims that it was only after he yelled for her to call police that he realized she was not in bed - and it was 'her' in the bathroom. in an affidavit read to the attorney he said "i fail to understand how i could be charged with murder. i had no intention to kill my girlfriend." but the prosecution argues pistorius pulled on his artificial legs - walked bedroom and pumped four bullets into the door.three of them hitting his girlfriend. calling it premeditated. south african newpapers take sources say she had been locked herself in the bathroom after a violent argument. one published report says a bloodied cricket bat had been found.and he had tried "crush" her skull. other reports suggest all this was unfolding as reeva steenkamp's family mourned her at a private funeral in

plans to use him in there is an 85-billion dollar deadline looming over washington at this hour. president obama is back at work trying to avoid deep cuts that are due to take effect next month. in this latest showdown over deficit reduction in washington--neither side showed any sign of compromise. longer airport lines. reduced military readiness. these are just some of the consequences president obama warns will become reality if forced spending cuts take effect on march first. these cuts not smart, they are not fair, they will hurt our economy, they will add hundreds of thousands of americans to the unemployment roles. >> reporter:to replace the cuts, democrats in the senate propose a combination of more tax revenue from top subsidies and reducing defense spending after the afghanistan. to support any increases in tax revenues. house speaker john boehner
